But a little later than planned, I am now on the update of WordPress made to version 2.3.
In the beginning everything went well. Backup done, uploaded new data, but then came the disappointment.
The only thing that was visible on the screen a blank white page!
Well, then went through plugins and updated in order. After the error in the plugin then " Markdown was found ", finally could include new features in WordPress 2.3 are tested.
Much has been discussed already, the new Tagfunktion by WordPress, with developers such as Ultimate Tag Warrior wanted (the UTW) make it unnecessary, at least in some features.
When finally all the links, and function calls in my template from UTW were removed, it went to the "testing" of new features and even browsing the WordPress Docs ( en ) which there is essentially only two functions that work with tags. Once " the_tags () ", which related to a post tags, and outputs the" wp_tag_cloud () ", which generates a tagcloud tags with weights.
Finally, I can only say that the new achievements in the field of "tagging" for most people most likely will not be really useful, especially since RECOURSE functions, such as missing Metataggeneration. But it is still version 2.4 ;-)
