2009 - Year of the creative spam?

Between all the innovations that hover before me at the time regarding the blog and my other projects - everything shines, so beautifully new - there were like a spam comment? what makes me even with dodgy staked hope for changes.

There are 5 houses in five different colors In each house lives a different nationality. These 5 owners drink a certain beverage, smoke a certain brand of pet cigar and keep a certain. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage. The CLUES: The Brit lives in the Red house. The Swede keeps dogs as pets. The Dane drinks tea. The Green House is on the left of the White House. The Green House's owner drinks coffee. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill. The man in the center house drinks milk. The Norwegian lives in the first house. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill. The man who smokes Blue Master drinks beer. The Deutsch smokes Prince. The Norwegian lives next to the Blue House. The man who smokes Blends has a neighbor who drinks water. The QUESTION: Who owns the fish?

Webmail and Spam

Spam filters are needed

Since it is necessary nowadays for almost every e-mail address of a spam filter einzusetzten, many manufacturers of e-mail clients have done so already.

But what is with webmail clients, such as used by me phlyMail ?

Problems with Spamassassin and Confixx

Now this is a practical example in PHP webmail client already installed an option to filter spam using external tool. The default setting here is by Spamassassin

Serious vendors on spamming?

Suddenly it went off, 64. 105 ... 210 new mails.

But this time not with normal spam, as you know him otherwise, of dubious Viagra, sex, or more recently, vacuum cleaners, and turntable sellers, but with error messages from various mail servers, which meant that I sent no mail would be undeliverable.

The new blog spammers!

Beginnings of the WordPress spam
Initially, spammers were even comment on the function of WordPress to their advertising messages on Internet sites to saw. Fight spam? Forget it!

Is filtered by the now almost 100% of all thanks to Akismet spam from the comments, I thought now lean back.

But thought wrong, suddenly a wave came to trackback spammers.

What do you do on the other hand, a plugin must be properly checked out what her trackbacks. Most sense to me, came here before the solution that the " Simple Trackback Validation plugin uses ". Here are the same pages that are sent as origin of trackbacks, checked to see whether any link is available for your own page. Is not there like it when spam is almost always the case, the trackback is in the moderation queue.

Spam now estethisch?

Since I visit again routinely, my sites, yet so hated around the back to remove all spam. Could be made despite all the security mechanisms, and yet what I see?

In addition to several pictures with pornographic content and the following 4 pictures ....

One wonders only why something comes on at one point for advertising porn?

A quick visit to the referred page, there are no movies here once sold, unsuspecting users will be to catch a virus.

And because sometimes you think spammers also make mistakes ;-)

Spam is one of the worst epidemics digital

How often do we get daily advertising? On Internet sites, in television broadcasting or in magazines, everywhere are colorful advertisements advertise for the most impossible things.

Against these forms you can certainly argue anything, because they can handle even sometimes more sometimes less easy.

But what about advertising that arrives directly at you, on your home PC? There are promises of great profits, great women and a cure-all products and given the best, once you have replied to such a dubious message, then the number of messages grows almost fever pitch.

Yes, the talk is of spam that arrives not only by mail or unwanted phone calls, no, now blogs, guest books, forums and many other forms of communication in the network converted to virtual billboards.

Here in the blog the statistics still looks fairly soberly, 13 spam comments were blocked successfully.

What are we to make against advertising on the messenger, including ICQ, MSN or Yahoo, to name a few. Are anti-spam tools is not yet available! Address block does not help! The only help that it is never to publish his address on the network, who is even in the case has no chance, then you can such messages as:

Hey there... I'm doing a LIVE STRIPTEASE on my webcam for all my friends! Let me know if you would like to watch me and I'll send you the link.

just ignore yet. Of course several times a day, it is even a guarantee!

Manuals, errors, and relaxation

Today I even found time on the side www.body-snatcher.ath.cx update a little, hence there is now a different structure, which is based on subdomains, so I can better distribute the traffic. About the thttpd web server can also easily be implemented subdomains, but you must restart the server each time it creates a new, or was linked to an existing folder on the clears. Something is obviously not in the manual, but have found out now but ego.

Also completed is also body-snatcher.ath.cx, as the last page, equipped with a sitemap was.

But again today I finally got wordpress to the fact that Akismet plugin installed here. This is an anti spam plugin, which checks the comments made here are based on a central database and filters. The installation was pretty easy, but for my taste a little too long. There has so far worked perfectly and this blog should not be more victims of large spam attacks.
