Firefox: Icon-Sidebar (Update)

After I have bookmarks sidebar with icons that time on a homemade sidebar with bookmarks I first reported earlier, I would now like to show a simpler way.

  1. All-in-One Sidebar and Custom Buttons ² install
  2. Restart Firefox
  3. Create Bookmark button , click "Make a Bookmark Button" and then select Restart Firefox
  4. Now View - Toolbars - Customize ... and the "Make a bookmark and drag" button in the sidebar
  5. Sidebar originals buttons and the sidebar is closed and finished the bookmarks bar on the left

Bookmarks Sidebar Icons

I never thought that I due to the many Firefox extensions sometimes do not think that's right.

Just planned my Firefox was a little "clean up" and to have access important bookmarks on the left by a sidebar icon. Finished plugin chance!

After some recherche then but I've finally found a way to realize my plans.

This is how Evan Rowals in his blog how to use the " All-In-One Sidebar "extension and the" Custom Buttons ² "Extension can build such a Lesezeichenbar itself.

Since its example code for the Hinzufügenbutton but can be called nicthmehr, I've tinkered with the help of the Custom Buttons Forum own solution.
