Bookmarks Sidebar Icons

I never thought that I, considering the number of Firefox extensions sometimes do not think that's right.

Just planned my Firefox was a little "clean up" and to call on an important bookmarks on the left sidebar by icon. Ready-plugin fail indicator!

After some research I did then but finally found a way to realize my plans.

This is how Evan Rowals in his blog how to use the " All-In-One Sidebar "extension and" Custom Buttons ² "extension can be built on such a Lesezeichenbar.

As his example code for the button but can call AddingAPTInternetsources nicthmehr, I've tinkered with the help of the Custom Buttons Forum, a custom solution.

And yet still managed to miss!

Yes, I would have almost missed the new version of one of my favorite plugins Semmelstatz.

The best part is that it is time for a major version jump, and so many new features have been incorporated.

Archive goes back!

With a little routine check of the blog today I had to find terrified that my archive is not working anymore. The plugin "KG Archives," with which I create the archive set, just announced an SQL error.

After a brief visit to the site of the developer and downloading the latest version of the plugin, the error was quickly corrected.

Bookmarking designs new!

From today you can now even easier to add items from my blog in your favorite social bookmarking services.

Simply click on 'Save & Share "and you will open a list of bookmarking services available to you.

This new version has replaced the old bookmarking, since the new design is still far from clear.

Realized the whole thing was based on the 'Save & Tell "- Plugin by Jott, which formerly as the German version of Share This was started.

Fight spam? Forget it!

Is filtered by the now almost 100% of all thanks to Akismet spam from the comments, I thought now lean back.

But thought wrong, suddenly a wave came to trackback spammers.

What do you do on the other hand, a plugin must be properly checked out what her trackbacks. Most sense to me, came here before the solution that the " Simple Trackback Validation plugin uses ". Here are the same pages that are sent as origin of trackbacks, checked to see whether any link is available for your own page. Is not there like it when spam is almost always the case, the trackback is in the moderation queue.

... Sad record.

The deleted spam comments today have thousands of limit (currently 1,005) exceeded.

In order to integrate Akismet in the last year has been a huge success. (1 Comment spam is not detected), because if I had to imagine just having to delete them all, I would probably have no free time ....

Especially with such impeccable statistics, such as exist here, you really can not think about it in Akismet phpBB and future systems (Synchro Fun v3) to install.

One probably. is indeed the spam back at some point, if spammers have realized that they face filter system and large communities are powerless behind it anyway.

Let's hope for the best.

Statistics goes online music!

More information about music

Now it's done and I was finally able to incorporate more data from Last.FM here, to all you have to in the navigation bar in the "Recent Music" to "All Data" button. Has the advantage for you that you must not call Last.FM always.

Implementation using new plugins

The whole is generated via a plugin written by me, which accesses the XML data from Audioscrobbler, these caches and then ausließt.

There was need, I can publish again, and happy commenting.

Snippet! Still there?

This question was also the author of this blog entry . He not only went through several search engines, but in the end even consulted Yahoo! Answers . Where he will find it eventually, and now even an offer for WordPress 2.0.
