Firefox: Sidebar icon (Update)

After living in bookmarks sidebar with icons have been reported for the first time on a homemade bookmark sidebar, I would now like to point out an easier way.

  1. All-in-One Sidebar and Custom Buttons ² install
  2. Restart Firefox
  3. Create Bookmarks button click, "Make a Bookmark button" and select restart Firefox again
  4. Now View - Toolbars - Customize ... and the "Make a Bookmark" button in the sidebar drag
  5. Originals sidebar and sidebar close buttons and finished the bookmark bar on the left

Have fun, maybe even soon appears a real add-on for this purpose ;-)

Bookmarks Sidebar Icons

I never thought that I, considering the number of Firefox extensions sometimes do not think that's right.

Just planned my Firefox was a little "clean up" and to call on an important bookmarks on the left sidebar by icon. Ready-plugin fail indicator!

After some research I did then but finally found a way to realize my plans.

This is how Evan Rowals in his blog how to use the " All-In-One Sidebar "extension and" Custom Buttons ² "extension can be built on such a Lesezeichenbar.

As his example code for the button but can call AddingAPTInternetsources nicthmehr, I've tinkered with the help of the Custom Buttons Forum, a custom solution.

Firefox and insecure passwords

In a building with many public PCs already like to forget to logout a user from the system.

This was yesterday at my school the case. Of course there is anything about Linux and you can not do much with a logged in user other than a little annoying because sometimes here and sometimes annoying.

Well as the Firefox of the standard equipment of each PC is here, and of course you also have access to the stored data. Who, of course, never quit and stores its data in any erases fear has no place here.

Our sacrifice, however, has saved everything nice and we are now to accounts at GMX, eBay and various online games richer.
So let's think about it. Use in public networks never the comfort of some memory functions!
