Nerd 2.0
It's done and goes into the full phpBB3 phpBB3 - Olympus is available on the download servers.
So over four years have passed since the appearance of the gold version of phpBB 2 (April 4, 2002) and after over a year to appear the first public beta version (17 June 2006).
But the wait has been worthwhile, as the list of features compared to phpBB2 or other forum software , before the phpBB3 need not hide in any case.
In any case, I wish all webmasters a lot of fun with the new phpBB.

Now it's time again un another pre-release version of the forum software " phpBB "was published.
How long will the final version would still not arrived, but already much speculation (eg here ), but it will probably still be a long way. For, since 20 May (the release of RC1) has not yet made no typing. Maybe this update is even a little longer than currently sixth RC
Now is also the new support for phpBB 3.0 (Olympus) Mods and Themes on www.phpbb.de .
Our review board will naturally appear with the latest updated version of phpBB SEO.

This time it's not about the new phpBB, but the old and well tested.
Fork of the phpBB Orion CBACK is now in the version 2.4.3 of the security holes plugged, and above all signatures to detect new worms.
An update is recommended so highly.
Changes
- CrackerTracker v5.0.3 -> v5.0.4
- Removal of unused entries of the old contact form
- Addition of template for the Knowledge Base mails (absent in the main package)
- Distance of 2 festgecodeten links in templates

It is almost done and so the developers explain that now seemed to the previous version of phpBB 3 Olympus hopefully last previous version.
The current release with the number 5 should still be thoroughly investigated by the community on security issues, before heading to the final version.
A Final can be seen so already!

Now it follows almost blow by blow, because a week ago is the second Release Candidate of the highly anticipated version 3.0 published by phpBB.
In this new version of the Olympus, the code name of the new version, which fixes errors in particular, which have been reported by users of RC1.
In any case, I could have much less time schedule for the update, because 4 clicks and everything was ready (Changed Files Packet). That the German language files are available for download at this wonderful community is almost self-evident.

New phpBB version
Now it is almost ready and the developments on the new phpBB version codenamed "Olympus" has been completed.
The most recent and can be downloaded at phpbb.com especially now public, and supported version. Even a German language pack is almost finished.
The most important innovations to the last beta version is the first thing the new style called "prosilver" on. Even the admin interface has been completely color-Revised. Were a few other bugs that have been recognized since Beta 5, fixed.
Another important innovation is the existing converter that brings a phpBB 2.0 forum on the current 3.0Version. Whether this error is already open, I could not test it yet.

Where you still in the early upgrade phpBB deal even with manual labor code and other nasty things had, there is now a respectable solution.
Especially the phpBB beta was still heavy in their first releases up to straight-and to keep the data. (I only remember the UTF-8 conversion)
Today I am now dealing with an update of my test board and discovered this great tool. Simply upload data from the archive and follow the setup.
Customizing the database to the new version now done automatically. The real hammer is the update file, where you are currently at earlier mod, still had to compare each file, all files automatically and displayed differences compared to the previous original and the New.
Class work, I say just because!

Yet another site was "hacked" from my network .... The gang called itself quite large "TheWorldsHackeR" and apparently came from a Turkish-speaking country.
To collapse, they used a vulnerability in PHP and inserted into the cache / folder of a file name phpBB "attach_config.php", but only the "embellished" a bit.
Further changes are still not recognized until now.

Now it's time again and an update of phpBB Orion Forks has been released. The version is a major revision of the board contains both shear and cheerfully and perfomance-related optimizations.
So the update is to recommend to anyone.

Just in time for Christmas, a new update for phpBB CBACK "Orion" was published.
The update, which classifies up to version 2.3.8 Orion, is largely an update on the new phpBB 2.0.22 kernel.
