Nerd 2.0
It's done in the full and go phpBB3 phpBB3 - Olympus is available on the download servers.
This has been over four years since the appearance of the gold version of phpBB 2 (April 4, 2002) and after over a year to appear the first public beta version (June 17, 2006).
But the wait has been worthwhile, as the list of features, compared to phpBB2 or other softwares forums , before the phpBB3 must not hide any case on.
In any case, I wish all webmasters have fun with the new phpBB.

Now it is time again un another pre-release version of the forum software phpBB has been released.
As long as the final version can be attributed to'd have to wait, though much speculation (eg here ), but it will probably still be a long way. For, since 20 May (the release of RC1) has not yet taken no tip. Maybe this update is just a little longer than currently sixth RC
New now is the support for phpBB 3.0 (Olympus) Mods and Themes on www.phpbb.de .
Our test board will naturally appear with the latest version of phpBB SEO updated.

This time it's not about the new phpBB, but the old and well tested.
The phpBB Orion Fork of CBACK is now in the version 2.4.3 the security holes stuffs and especially signatures to detect new worms.
An update is recommended so highly.
Changes
- Cracker Tracker v5.0.3 -> v5.0.4
- Removal of unused entries of the old contact form
- Addition of template for the Knowledge Base mails were missing (in the main package)
- Distance of 2 festgecodeten Links in templates
- Very important security fixes for the database link

It is almost done and so explain the developer who now appeared for the previous version of phpBB 3 Olympus hopefully last previous version.
The current release with the number 5 should still be thoroughly investigated by the community on security issues, before it then goes to the final version.
A final is already visible, then!

Now it follows almost blow by blow, as is just under a week the second Release Candidate of the much anticipated version 3.0 published by phpBB.
In this new version of the Olympus, the code name of the new version, to be fixed before all errors that have been reported by users of the RC first
In any case, I would have have far less time schedule for the update, for four clicks and everything was done (Files Changed packet). The fact that the German language files for download are available in this wonderful community, almost self-evident.

New version of phpBB
Now it is almost ready, and developments in the new phpBB version codenamed "Olympus" are completed.
The most current and supported version can be downloaded at phpbb.com public before and now everything. Even a German language pack is almost finished.
The most important innovations to the last beta version is the first of the new style, called "on prosilver. Even the admin interface has been completely color-Revised. Anything else were some bugs that have been identified since Beta 5, fixed.
Another important change is the existing converter that brings a phpBB 2.0 forum at the current 3.0Version. Whether this is already without errors, I could not test it yet.

My own forum has successfully weathered course, after a couple of small trailers and the update is now presented in a new light.

Where you still in the early upgrade phpBB deal even with manual labor code and other ugly things had to, there is now an attractive solution.
Especially the phpBB beta was still heavy in their first releases to straight-up and to keep the data. (I only remember the UTF-8 conversion)
Today I am now dealing with an update of my test board and found this great tool. Simply upload data from the archive and follow the setup.
Customizing the database to the new version now take place fully automatically. The real hammer is the update file, where you used to be just in mod, still had to compare each file, all files automatically and displayed differences compared to the original pre-release and for the new.
First class work, I say just because!

Yet another site has been hacked from my network ".... The gang called itself quite large "TheWorldsHackeR" and apparently came from a Turkish-speaking country.
For breaking they used a vulnerability in PHP and pushed into the cache / folder of a phpBB file name "attach_config.php ', but only the page" embellished a bit. "
Further changes are clearly not yet up to now.

Now it is time and an update of phpBB Forks Orion has been released. The version is a major revision of the board and includes both scherheits as well perfomancerelevante optimizations.
This update is recommended to anyone.

The update to version 2.3.8 which Orion heraufstuft, largely is an update to the new phpBB 2.0.22 kernel.
