Logfile kills the hard drive

Suddenly nothing. No sessions, no database connection, etc.

write failed: No space left on device (28)

Provided the SQL database, but how hard can it be full when it was virtually empty yesterday?

ls-Lah $ (find /-type f-size +10000 k)

List proved to be very helpful because it enables this command, all files larger than 10MB of size.

So quickly found the culprit file, a log file which has expanded to an impressive 55GB.

This is how we are before the Friday afternoon;)

XAMPP and Imagick (MagickWand)

Nice if an error one can stay as long, although the solution is so simple.

Class 'Imagick' not found in ...

Thus, only one was missing in the Windows system environment variable, which must be set as follows.

Job-> right click-> Properties-> Advanced-> Environment Variables-> Custom ..

MAGICK_HOME = path / to / Imagick / config files (eg C: / Imagick / config)

Many thanks to Mikko's Blog for the solution!

After some quick Google a solution was found. The software had to be upgraded to 3.0 from GoPal 1.1.

First, then stood on a firmware update to enable the new software could also be brought to work. This was thanks to simple instructions done quickly and could be moved next to the step.

The current version of the software can store Medion GoPal be obtained and called 3.xx.

This can again easily on the PNA 510T install and already I was able to map a newer and improved service enjoy.

Now the updated navigation system must be proved only in the road test.

Vista SP 1 installation with a X1600 Pro

First problems occurred even with the first installation Microsoft Windows Vista with a X1600 Pro card at the installation.

Decelerated to perform the installation but, but always ended in a Blue Screen. An exchange of the card by a half older then, although the installation and helped Zurücktauschen after installation, but it was more than a nuisance.

If you think but the fact that suddenly the same problem when installing the latest service pack (SP1) back appearance. The problem, once started the installation, it was making not so great back.

There was only to download a Vista DVD with Integrated SP 1 and using the old workarounds (the graphics card exchange) during installation.

A fun is it to get so definitely not the speed advantages of the service pack.

find downloads of the Vista DVD with SP1 it in MSDN or various relevant forums.

Good luck with the proper update and a video card is support.
