But a little later than planned, I am now on the update of WordPress made to version 2.3.
In the beginning everything went well. Backup made, uploaded new data, but then came the disillusionment.
The only thing that was visible on the screen a blank white page!
So good plugin gone through and updated in order. After the error then in the plugin " Markdown was found, "were finally able to include new features in WordPress 2.3 are tested.
Much has been discussed already, the new Tagfunktion of WordPress, the developers like the Ultimate Tag Warrior wanted (the UTW) make it unnecessary, at least in some features.
When finally all the links and function calls in my template from UTW were removed, it went to the "testing" of the new features and even browsing the WordPress Docs ( de ) that exists in essentially only two functions that work with tags. Once " the_tags () ", which related to a post tags and outputs the" wp_tag_cloud () "that creates a tag cloud with weighted tags.
Finally, I can only say that the new achievements in the field of "tagging" for most people most likely will not be really useful, since it is precisely RECOURSE functions, such as missing Metataggeneration. But it is still version 2.4 ;-)
